APM Terminals enhances employees’ creativity in port operations

APM Terminals Apapa has encouraged its employees to explore their diverse and hidden talents beyond their daily routines of port operations.

The terminal operator brought together employees from various departments eager to showcase their skills through the APM Terminals Got Talent show themed ‘Lifting Industry Talents’, which took place at the company’s premises at the Lagos Port Complex Apapa,

The Terminal Manager, APMT Apapa, Steen Knudsen, expressed pride in the creativity and versatility of the employees.

He said that while the terminal is committed to delivering for its customers, it is equally important to recognise the amazing people who make that possible.

“We celebrate both our employees and contractors. We are an amazing family and this event highlights the energy and passion they bring to work every day, creating a fun and engaging workplace,” Knudsen said.

The Employee Relations Manager of APM Terminals Apapa, Ben Nwangwu, noted that the talent show would not only boost morale but also strengthen bonds among employees.

He revealed plans to make the talent hunt a yearly tradition, encouraging staff to continue to explore their creative interests.

The Head of People Function, APM Terminals Nigeria, Uzoma Ben-Ude, emphasised that the company’s commitment to work-life balance extends beyond regular duties while providing opportunities for employees to recharge and refocus.
