Speaking on the event, the chief executive officer of Hollysee Hotels, Daniel Ikeri, popularly known as Dr. Holly, revealed that the Monday night gig is part of the facility’s strategy to bring the lively nightlife of the Island, such as the famous Obi’s House, to the heart of the mainland in Alimosho.

Holly said the idea behind Holiday Rave was to create a vibrant party culture that rivals what is typically found on the Island, giving residents of Alimosho and its environs, a taste of the premium nightlife experience without the need to travel across Lagos.

“We saw a gap in the nightlife scene on the mainland and felt it was time to bridge it. People no longer have to go all the way to the Island to have that high-energy party experience,” he said.

Holly noted that the lineup artistes every Monday night have made the event a success and masterclass in curation, featuring an eclectic mix of Afrobeats, dancehall, and hip-hop with performances by top music stars like Sean Tizzle, Oritsefemi, Slimcase, and T-Classic, which has help to cement the night groove as a major attraction for Lagos partygoers, especially Alimosho residents and its environs.

“Holiday Rave has grown into more than just a Monday night party; it has become a movement. The response has been overwhelming, with people from different parts of Lagos coming to Alimosho to be a part of it. We’re proud to have created something that resonates so well with the audience,” Dr. Holly added.

He noted that the company’s focus is not only to entertain but also to support local businesses in the area by attracting more people to Alimosho for nightlife and tourism. He emphasized that Hollysee Hotels is committed to maintaining the quality of the event while continuously improving to keep the crowd engaged.

“We’re not just hosting parties; we’re creating experiences that leave lasting memories. I want to bring a taste of Island life to Alimosho. The goal is to keep raising the bar and making each edition of Holiday Rave better than the last,” he enthused.
