
She expressed the determination to ensure that satellite technology becomes a cornerstone of Nigeria’s sustainable future, driving impact across diverse sectors, even in the most remote areas.
Speaking at the unveiling of the Nigerian Satellite Week Programme yesterday in Abuja, Egerton-Idehen, affirmed that Nigcomsat was collaborating with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Defence Intelligence and Space Administration, Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other stakeholders on utilisation of Communications Satellite and Assets to ensure peace across the federation.
She confirmed collaborations with the nation’s security architecture managers to connect the remote areas in the quest for find lasting solutions to the security challenges facing the country.
Egerton-Idehen clarified that the country had not jettisoned the move to procure Satellite 2 in space, adding that the process would be concluded soon.
