In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Epe on Wednesday, Adesanya highlighted that many public school students struggled to concentrate due to hunger.
“Some pupils arrive at school without food, while others rely on insufficient provisions.
“Students cannot perform optimally on an empty stomach; hunger shifts their focus from learning to survival.”

Adesanya said providing lunches would enhance concentration and academic outcomes
She cited Kaduna and Ogun states, which have already implemented school feedingprogrammes as examples.
“Lagos, as a leading state, should not lag in providing this essential service,” she urged.
“The benefits of free lunches will extend beyond students by encouraging parents to enroll their children in public schools and reducing dropout rates.”
