My-G: Glo’s youth-centric offer excites student leaders

Telecoms firm, Globacom, has unveiled a new product called My-G, specifically designed for Nigerian youths. Its Director of Creativity, Marketing Communications, Chuka Obi, who spoke on the initiative held at Victoria Island, Lagos, emphasised that the new product reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative solutions that resonate with its customers, particularly the younger generation.

The firm announced a nationwide entertainment tour for its innovative youth-centric product, My-G. The multi-city tour aims to showcase My-G’s amazing benefits, providing young Nigerians with affordable data and endless entertainment. It offers unique data bundles enabling customers to access favourite entertainment sites, social media platforms, and streaming services at affordable rates, including WhatsApp, and TikTok. Snapchat, BoomPlay, Audiomack, Instagram and GloTV.

Youth leaders in attendance welcomed the news with excitement, acknowledging the potential for meaningful connections and empowerment among young individuals through Globacom’s new initiatives.

Morakinyo Olaolu, President, Students’ Union Government (SUG), Yaba College of Technology, said: “This is a good initiative for youth development. We thank Glo for My-G which is for us the Youth”, while Adebobola Ayomide, SUG President, Lagos State University, stated: “My-G will help the youth to stay more active online. It will be useful to us in both academic and social activities.

Similarly, Adekanye Ibukunoluwa, a representative of the University of Lagos SUG, declared, “Thanks to Glo for putting the Youth into consideration. Online is where we do most of our academic work and My-G will help us greatly with affordable data”.

Continuing, Obi said: “We’ve set aside this time of the year to focus on bringing joy to Nigerians, with My-G, we are catering to the 70 per cent of Nigeria’s population that is made up of young people. They have their own expectations and unique perspectives on what brings them happiness. That’s why we have designed this bundle to meet their needs, offering social and music packages that are sure to elevate their joy.”
