A woman named Eunice Asuelie has been arrested by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly forcing her 15-year-old daughter into prostitution.

The incident occurred in Udu Local Government Area, where Asuelie reportedly took her daughter to a hotel to meet with a suspected sex trafficker. Fortunately, the girl managed to escape and seek refuge with a classmate’s family.

Human rights activist Ighorhiohwunu Aghogho confirmed the incident and stated that the girl is now under the care of the proprietress of Triumphal Model School in Effurun.

The Delta State Police Command spokesperson, Bright Edafe, confirmed the arrest and assured that a thorough investigation into the case is underway.
