
Michael, of no fixed address, was charged with conspiracy and armed robbery.
The Magistrate, Mrs. Adebola Adeola, did not take the plea of the defendant for lack of jurisdiction.

Adeola directed the police to return the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.
She thereafter adjourned the case until Dec. 20, for mention.
The prosecutor, Insp Iyabo Oladoyin, had told the court that the defendant committed the offenses on Sept. 16, at about 10.00p.m, at Lalupon Area, Ibadan.
Oladoyin said the defendant and others at large, while armed with cutlasses and other dangerous weapons, attacked the complainant, Niyi Abass and dispossessed him of his valuables.

She said the defendant robbed Abass of his cell phones, Point of Sale (POS) terminals, recharge cards, N3,000 cash among other valuables.
According to her, the offenses contravene Sections 516 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State and 1(2) of the Robbery and Firearms Laws of Nigeria, 2004.
