The Ashmusy Foundation hosted its inaugural Boss Up Empowerment Event at the Vintano Hotel in Lagos, bringing together driven women from across Nigeria to support their entrepreneurial journeys. Ten women received ₦500,000 each, along with specialized business equipment tailored to industries like fashion, beauty, and content creation, enabling them to kickstart or expand their businesses.
Founded by Dr. Amarachi Amusi, known as Ashmusy, the foundation’s event celebrated resilience and ambition. Dr. Amusi, alongside speakers like Uche Ogbodo and Anita Joseph, shared insights on overcoming challenges and underscored the vital role women play in Nigeria’s economic progress. Among the recipients were Adakwu Oluchukwu Cromwell of The Virgin Flaurel and Sylla Nbalu of Puritys Kitchen, Uzochukwu Ginika Esther Lucy of Lucee makeover, Emediong George Harry of Emmy’s Fashion Hub, and Kolawole Anuoluwapo Adewunmi of Sisi Maria, whose new equipment—from sewing machines to filming kits—set them on the path to success.
The event, filled with high-profile guests, emphasized not only financial support but also mentorship and networking. “By investing in these women, we’re investing in a brighter future for Nigeria,” Dr. Amusi affirmed. Through such initiatives, her Foundation aims to foster a community of empowered female entrepreneurs who will drive lasting change.
“The Ashmusy Foundation is committed to empowering Nigerian women entrepreneurs by providing access to funding, equipment, mentorship, and business training.
