The Medical Art Centre (MAC) has reiterated its commitment to operating with global standards.
Speaking at a press briefing, Chairman and Chief Medical Director, MAC, Prof Oladipo Ashiru, said the centre received ISO 9001:2015 certification from IEMA Standards Limited.
He stated that the laboratory protocols strictly adhered to the standards of the American Board of Bio-analysis and the Association of Fertility and Reproductive Health guidelines, in alignment with international benchmarks.
“Our pursuit of excellence has never wavered, leading us to undertake the demanding process of ISO certification. This achievement is the perfect addition to our 30-year legacy of quality, dedication, and passionate service to the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology.
“This accomplishment highlights our unwavering commitment to upholding the highest quality standards. We want the public to continue placing their trust in us, as we remain dedicated to excellence in every aspect of our practice,” he said.
Ashiru said in the past 30 years, the centre had welcomed more than 3,000 babies into the world, bringing joy to families in Nigeria and across the world.
Presenting the certificate, Director-General, IEMA Standards Limited, Dr Raymond Smith, explained the evaluation process undertaken to ensure the centre met international standards. “We subjected the organisation to a thorough process over several months to confirm it aligns with global standards.
“We are pleased with the cooperation of the MAC team. However, maintaining the standard is crucial, and we will conduct yearly surveillance to ensure compliance. The centre has successfully met these requirements, and its procedures now adhere to international standards,” he added.
