May Edochie And The Tale Of The Clay Pot
There is this Urhobo proverb that talks about how the seller usually takes the clay pot to the market to be given knocks. Let us try to break it down for the ‘non initiates’ here. Before a buyer buys a clay pot taken to the market, he/she must first give it several knocks around its body. This ritual is always done to ascertain if the clay pot has cracks that would cause some leaks when filled with water.

Now, how does this seemingly inconsequential proverb relate to the estranged wife of Nollywood star, Yul Edochie? Since the news of the crack in the marriage of the star to May, broke, due to Yul’s decision to marry a second wife, fellow actor, Judy Austen, she had literally broken the dam. She boldly rejected the idea of sharing her husband with another woman, which is typical of any first wife, and she did not just stop there. She has been all over the place firing darts at her husband and his ‘new’ wife. Her kids took sides with her, which is okay too.

Before you could say Jack, without adding the Robinson, a hitherto unknown May has become an overnight celebrity. She is going from one public event to the other holding talks on how to be a divorced wife. A producer, T4T, heard, even featured her in a movie! Wow! May is now an actor even though she may be as stiff on set like an ‘okporoko’, but it does not matter to the producer, all she/he needs is the face and name of the latest estranged wife of a star(Yul Edochie) who has been so demonised for marrying a second wife by a hypocritical society.

Recently, she was at an event in Doha or so where T4T read that she made all the women in the hall to cry as she further coloured her husband bad. And this has made T4T to ask again, what other crime did Yul Edochie commit aside marrying a second wife?

What May does not know is that, all the people inviting her to all these shows, movie locations and street carnivals, the bloggers encouraging her, the feminists mob cheering and cursing on her behalf, are all sellers of the proverbial clay pot who have been taking May Edochie to the market to be given the proverbial knocks, all for their selfish gains. When you want a hall to be packed full with people and the event to be publicised, just invite May Edochie to come and talk about how ‘bad’ a husband Yul Edochie had been to her all the years of their marriage. You want your movie to sell, get May as one of the cast even if she is just a ‘waka pass’.

May may be having the time of her life, travelling the world and appearing on different stages, they have even added ‘Queen’ as a title to her name and she is relishing every moment of the seemingly unending gravy ride. What she does not know is that, when the dust settles, and all the people are done exploiting her, she will be all alone, lonely and back at home because she has been busy glamourising a failed marriage.
Who will help T4T beg this young woman to distance herself from the people taking her to the market place to be given knocks all over body?

And Halima ‘Apologises’ To Apostle
T4T was happy recently when he read in the news that Nollywood actor, Halima Abubakar had apologised to popular Pentecostal pastor, Johnson Suleiman for allegedly defaming him some couple of years ago which led Suleiman to drag her to court. Halima said so many not too pleasant things about our dear Apostle Suleiman, in fact, some were too incredulous to believe but Halima had insisted she had proof.
Fast forward to some days ago, a letter of apology to Suleiman purportedly from Halima surfaced online and a reply purportedly from Suleiman that she would still have to have her day in court followed suit.

Some not too nice social media users (not T4T) described the apology as an ‘arrangee’ one to end the embarrassing issue. What they meant was that there may have been a behind the scene agreement reached by all feuding parties which culminated into that apology. Why do some Nigerians always think like that sef? Anyway, if truly Halima was sorry for allegedly dragging our Daddy in Lord’s name in the mud, make our Daddy forgive her as Jesus forgive all those bad people wey conspire to kpai am as told us in the bible, abi nor be so?
