FRSC converts 161 non-commissioned officers to officers cadre
The Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC), Kaduna Zone, has concerted no fewer than 161 senior non-commissioned officers to the officers cadre, its Commander, Mr Ahmad Umar, has disclosed.
He made the disclosure while decorating 11 of the officers from Kaduna Zonal headquarters office on Thursday in Kaduna.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that states within the zone include Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, and Katsina.
Umar said, ” We are here to celebrate and decorate some of our recently upgraded Road Marshals to officer’s cadre.
“It is what our management of FRSC calls Harmonisation of Senior Non-Commissioned Officers to officers’ cadre.
” Here in the zonal headquarters, we have eleven of them who are going to be upgraded to officer’s cadre.
“Throughout the zone, 161 were upgraded and converted into the officer’s cadre.”
According to Umar, those converted went through the rigorous process of selection and an upgrade of their academic qualifications and dedication to duties over the years.
“They are among those carefully selected by the management of FRSC across the nation, “he said.
The ZCO said the management of FRSC under the leadership of Corps Marshal Shehu Muhammad was doing everything possible to prioritise staff motivation and welfare for optimal performance across the nation.
He called on the newly promoted staff to justify the confidence reposed on them by being more dedicated to duty and eschewing anything capable of tarnishing the image of the Corps.
Umar called on the motoring public to always abide by traffic rules and regulations to curb road traffic crashes most especially during the ember months.
SRC Muhammad Garba, who spoke on behalf of the newly decorated officers, appreciated the management of FRSC for finding them worthy to be among the upgraded officers.
Garba assured the management of their commitment and dedication to service.
NAN also reports that seven were upgraded to Superintendent Route Commander, three to Deputy Route Commander and one to Assistant Route Commander.
