INEC presents Certificates of Return to Aiyedatiwa, deputy

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday presented certificates of return to Ondo State Governor-elect, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and his deputy, Olayide Adelami.

The Supervisory National Commissioner for Ondo State, Prof. Kunle Ajayi, handed over the certificates to the duo during a brief ceremony held at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

Aiyedatiwa defeated his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), securing 366,781 votes against Ajayi’s 117,845.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) won in all 18 local government areas of the state.

The Labour Party (LP) and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) polled 1,162 and 2,692 votes, respectively.
