He said the project would generate 38 megawatts of electricity when completed, assuring that the project would no doubt rejuvenate social and economic activities across the state.

”The present administration consider it paramount to complete the project in view of the investment made so far and its importance to the citizens of the state,” Danchadi said.

The commissioner also disclosed that the state government has approved the sum of N222 million for the rehabilitation of Waziri Junansu History Bureau, “which serves as a menoment and tourist attraction site in the state.”

He further said hostels at Shehu Shagari College of Education and Umaru Aliyu Shinkafi Polytechnic owned by the state government would be reconstructed at the cost of about N480 million.

Danchadi added that additional vehicles would be procured for Deputy Governor’s office and security operatives in the state.

According to him, during the sitting, the council approves a Medium Expenditure Framework (M-TEF) for 2025 to 2027 along with boreholes repairs and water treatment supply to the tune of N203 million.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Alhaji Nasiru Dantsoho, said about N4.7 billion was approved for the construction road networks in Sultan Maccido School of Arabic and Islamic Studies as well as township roads and roundabouts.

Similarly, the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Dr Jabir Maihula, said about N1.9 billion was approved for the reconstruction of Jumu’at Mosques, Islamiyya Schools across the state.
