Spazio Ideale shines at Ecobank Design & Build Expo

Spazio Ideale, a Nigerian company committed to changing the narrative of interior design, recently took the spotlight at the Ecobank Design & Build Expo 2024.

Themed, “Building Nigeria Together,” the event was held at Ecobank Pan Africa Center Lagos.

As the official sponsor of the event, the company exhibited an exceptional booth design that raised critical questions about the future of African designs, showcasing rich design heritage, with each element celebrating a nostalgic feel, rooted in timeless craftsmanship.

Spazio Ideale displayed its prowess in showcasing comprehensive interior design consultancy services and turnkey installation. They presented a blend of traditional architectural designs, which in line with the theme, of building Nigeria together, showed how sustainable design can be used to retain the Nigerian culture.

The booth served as a testament to Afrca’s progression into sustainable design while being modern. It also buttressed the company’s commitment to sustainability and redefining the narrative of African heritage with contemporary design.

Majorly known for its creativity in the world of design, Spazio Ideale has left a mark on various spaces, including the construction of a Tech park in Cape Verde, however, still under construction. Other designs include Moniepoint Office, Kuda Bank, Paystack, Project EY, and FourPoints by Sheraton.

Adopting an unorthodox approach, Spazio Ideale’s booth, challenged the status quo at the event, encouraging other designers and attendees to break forth from the conventional thinking of Western Design and join hands to build Nigeria together.

The booth also encouraged its visitors to embrace the distinct African identity and its available natural resources. This outlined Spazio Ideale’s dedication to fostering a unique perspective in the world of design.

As sponsors of the event, Spazio Ideale also designed several general spaces within the Expo, impacting the overall attendee experience. One of the most captivating spaces was the Helmet Wall, an interactive installation that allowed visitors to stand beneath a towering display of helmets, creating unique and memorable photo opportunities.

This act further highlights Spazio Ideale’s versatility in maintaining the African identity in modern-day design. Its first day introduced prominent individuals such as the Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, who graced the booth and conversed with the CEO of Spazio Ideale, Tomi Olatunbode on the future of African design and sustainability.

Spazio Ideale’s participation at the event has left a lasting impression on its attendees, highlighting the transformative potential of interior design, while retaining the African identity. In light of this, Spazio Ideale has firmly positioned itself at the forefront of shaping the trajectory of African design for years to come.
