Yusuf, a lawyer, holds a Ph.D from the University of Lagos. Aside a degree in law, he has degrees in Mass Communication and Business Administration as well as professional qualifications in marketing, public relations, advertising, journalism and communication studies. He once served as Ogun State Commissioner for Information, Sports and Culture.
According to a statement by the Publicity Secretary of the Ijebu Ode NBA, Atinuke Akinsanya, Yusuf, who is a scholar of note with many publications, is currently a distinguished fellow/ associate professor at the University of Lagos.
