The Ogun State Police Command has notified the public, particularly residents and those near Alamala Barracks, that its officers will be conducting a shooting range exercise from Monday, December 16, to Friday, December 20, 2024.

Spokesperson for the command, SP Omolola Odutola, in a statement yesterday said the notice serves to raise awareness and advise members of the public to avoid the area during this period.

“Please note that this is not intended to cause alarm but to ensure public safety, as sounds of ammunition may be heard within the vicinity.

“Rest assured that the exercise will be carried out by trained ballistic officers, and all necessary safety protocols will be strictly observed.

“The ammunition used for this exercise will be life, but activities will be confined to the designated range,” she added.
