A newly built petroleum station, belonging to BOVAS was on Monday evening razed down by fire in Ibadan. The Guardian gathered that the incident occurred during the unloading of petrol from a tanker.

But for the prompt arrival of fire fighters from the Oyo State Fire Service, who were alerted about the incident, the situation would have escalated. General Manager of Oyo State Fire Service, Mr Yemi Akinyinka, who confirmed the incident, however, did not give further details.
