Popular TikToker, Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan, has raised the alarm that a bank account, belonging to his non-governmental organisation (NGO), was hacked and N160 million diverted out of its account.
He said the hackers gained access to the money through his website, stealing N160 million out of the N180 million he had stashed in the account.
In a video on Friday, VeryDarkMan lamented that the incident had left him distraught.
He stated that an arrest has since been made after law enforcement agencies tracked down one of the suspects.
He said, “They have arrested one person, and that is why I’m even saying it now. I’m excited, and the account has been put on PND. The account now has N20 million, while N160 million has been diverted to another account. We are currently going there to see how we can get the money back. I just want to update you people.”
VeryDarkMan’s NGO raised over N21 million within 24 hours of inception in October 2024. It also got support from prominent figures, including music producer Don Jazzy.
