Nollywood actress and box office star Funke Akindele has thanked her fans and supporters after her new movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa (ELJ), reached an incredible milestone.
The comedy has grossed ₦783 million, nearing the ₦1 billion mark, and breaking multiple records along the way.
On Boxing Day alone, the movie raked in ₦107 million, making it the highest single-day gross for a Nollywood movie in history.

Local distributor of the movie, FilmOne Entertainment, announced the achievement today, December 27, 2024 in an Instagram post, sharing a celebratory flyer on Instagram.
“Everybody Loves Jenifa is hitting it big this festive season! It has grossed over ₦783 million at the box office. On Boxing Day alone, it made over ₦107 million! When you’re big, you’re big! Thank you for showing this movie your love and support,” the post read.
The 47-year-old actress also took to social media to express her gratitude, writing, “This is huge!!!!! God did!!! Big thanks to our amazing fans and supporters!!”

She accompanied the message with a video appreciating her fans and encouraging them to keep seeing the movie in cinemas.
