A former Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Jide Ojuko, has said the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu will help revive the country.

Speaking at a press briefing held at the headquarters of Iganmode Club in Ota on its 50th-anniversary celebrations, Ojuko stated that relief will follow the initial challenges presented by the reforms.

This was as he commended the President’s decisions in the oil sector which have seen the rehabilitation of two refineries and the promotion of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).

According to him, the introduction of CNG by the Tinubu administration has made the cost of transportation cheaper, adding that the cost of fuel is declining due to the rehabilitated refineries.

“These reforms may be difficult, but they are bold steps taken in the interest of all Nigerians. The results are becoming evident, and we must remain patient and continue praying for the President’s success,” he said.

On the club’s 50th anniversary, Ojuko revealed plans for a multipurpose building to honour the founding fathers.

The golden jubilee celebrations, set to conclude on Saturday, January 18, will feature several activities, including a public lecture titled “Developing Ota into a Metropolitan City: Challenges, Prospects, and Advantages”.
