
Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested Kingsley Wanogho, a 42-year-old dismissed soldier, for abduction and theft.
Wanogho abandoned his victim on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos after carting away his iPhone 13.
According to the police, Wanogho is a dismissed army sergeant who claimed he was still in service.
“The suspect, Kingsley Wanogho, 42, a dismissed army sergeant and ex-convict, was arrested at Ikeja Underbridge by police operatives after being spotted by one of his victims around Computer Village, Ikeja on Saturday.”
Investigations by the police revealed that the soldier impersonator accused his victim of stumbling on him and stealing his gold ring.

Flaunting his identification card, Wanogho threatened to detain his victim in the Amy Barracks in Oshodi if he failed to produce his ring.
“Investigations revealed that it was at this point that the suspect invited an accomplice on a motorcycle and hauled his victim on a bike. And, on the pretext that they were taking the victim to Army Cantonment.
“They drove him to Third Mainland Bridge, collected his iPhone 13 and money, and abandoned him there. Further investigations revealed that Wanogho sold the iPhone 13 for N150,000:00 in Computer Village, Ikeja.”
The police found a camouflage face cap and a fake Nigeran Army ID card in his possession.
