
Five people sustained varying levels of injuries in a road crash that occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge at Unilag Waterfront inward Adeniji.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) revealed that a commercial bus and a Toyota Highlander were involved in the accident.
In a video sighted by The Guardian’s correspondent, the commercial bus tumbled on and was seen lying upside down with its windows shattered and broken glass littering the road.

“An accident occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge at Unilag Waterfront inward Adeniji. It involved a commercial bus and a Toyota Highlander.
“There are five casualties (injured persons) involved and have been swiftly rescued by LASTMA officials and other good Samaritans,” LASTMA wrote on X on Tuesday.
It added that the recovery of the damaged vehicles from the scene of the accident would be done shortly.
The road traffic agency also urged drivers to drive within the speed limit, be cautious while driving, and prioritise checking the condition of their vehicles before leaving home.
