To improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency, Dobic Health has integrated medical consultancy with advanced diagnostic services, ensuring faster and more precise results for patients.
The new initiative was revealed during the official launch of the firm’s state-of-the-art health facility in Lagos, designed to make healthcare more accessible, affordable, and effective to ensure that patients receive accurate test results and personalised care.
The founder and CEO of Dobic Health, Dr Abiodun Adereni at the launch emphasised that the next phase of healthcare delivery would involve not just embracing digital transformation but also reinforcing vital healthcare infrastructure.
“Through Dobic Health, we’re committed to building a healthcare system that not only embraces digital transformation but also strengthens critical infrastructure to drive real impact,” he said.
Adereni, who is also the visionary behind HelpMum, a social impact organisation that revolutionised vaccination processes in Africa using low-cost innovation and Artificial Intelligence, explained that the new facility offers a comprehensive range of services designed to address diverse medical needs including specialised care in women’s and men’s health, sexual health, as well as advanced diagnostic services such as laboratory testing, pathology, neurological care, radiology and cardiology.
According to him, the facility stands out for its fast turnaround times on medical tests, allowing patients to receive prompt results, a key feature that differentiates it from many other health facilities in the country.
Adereni emphasised that the facility prides itself on delivering personalised care, with a dedicated team of qualified medical professionals attending to every patient’s needs. “This combination of advanced diagnostic capabilities and compassionate healthcare delivery underscores Dobic Health’s commitment to providing high-quality care.”
Medical Consultant, Dobic Health, Dr Ademide Animasaun, told The Guardian that the availability of consultants at the facility helps to streamline the process to ensure that patients only do the necessary tests, guided by a medical professional.
“We pride ourselves on being different because we are focused on offering cutting-edge tools for accurate diagnostics. The centre runs several comprehensive packages, such as sexual health, reproductive health, full-body check-ups, and pre-wedding screenings for both men and women,” she added.
Animasaun further emphasised that the facility is not just about individual patients, but also serves organisations.
“We have packages for organisations, including staff, and even for specific roles like restaurant chefs or domestic staff,” she stated.
Addressing concerns about maternal and child health issues, she said many women; particularly those facing reproductive or sexual health issues like symptoms of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), often seek advice and testing. “We’ve had women come in with concerns about irregular periods, acne, and unexpected weight gain. Instead of simply telling them to take any test, we guide them on what they specifically need,” she explained.
When asked about the affordability of services, Animasaun assured that despite the clinic’s modern equipment and comprehensive offerings, the services remain accessible. “We are affordable. We understand the economy and work with HMOs and hospitals to ensure that our prices are manageable. Even with quality care, we ensure that our services are not out of reach for anyone,” she said.
