The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin, stated this yesterday in Abuja when he commissioned the ultra modern Admiralty Printing Press of the Nigerian Navy (NN) at the Mogadishu Cantonment.
“It is an option of choice for its appropriateness to strengthen the security of the process of producing classified documents and other military materials for operations and training.
Olonisakin said the commercial purpose is offered to the public as it confers impressive stimulus to military processes as well as that of other security agencies and even the public.
The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, in his welcome address said the publishing and printing press was mooted “out of the need for the NN to exercise considerable control over the production of classified materials in view of their strategic value.”
