The Alaafin of Oyo-elect, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, has delivered a container load of hospital equipment and consumables worth millions of naira imported from Canada, amid kudos and jubilation among residents of Oyo Town.

The ultra-modern equipment will be installed at the community health centre, which is also being constructed by the paramount ruler.

According to the royal father, the donation was aimed at ensuring even development in the community and supporting the mantra of inclusive governance promoted by Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.

He added that the initiative was meant to assist the less privileged, emphasizing that the construction of the health centre and the donation of medical equipment were intended to help those facing health challenges.

A release issued by Alaafin’s Media Aide, Bode Durojaiye, stated that the monarch expressed optimism that the equipment would ease the challenges people face in accessing quality medical treatment. He noted that the equipment includes ultrasound machines and electrical beds, among others.

Some residents who witnessed the delivery of the equipment described Oba Owoade as a monarch with self-awareness, courage, respect, compassion, and resilience, who effectively utilizes his influence while communicating his vision, showing gratitude, and collaborating with others.

One of the residents said: “With this laudable feat, our monarch has proved that he can set a practical vision and establish suitable, achievable targets. He knows how to set smart goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely.

Kudos to our pragmatic paramount ruler.”
