The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Migo Mobile Nigeria, George Evans, has stated that luxury smartphones and laptops should not be too expensive for common Nigerians.
The Migo Mobile CEO recently made this known in Lagos during the unveiling of their new lines of phones, laptops, tablets, and other gadgets.
Evans stated that most Nigerians need luxury, yet affordable gadgets, they love, that can serve them well and yet do not break the bank in terms of good quality, which Migo is out to make possible for them.
He stated that Migo is the brand that meets the needs of the common man, irrespective of their different walks of life, age, economic levels, needs, and expectations.
“We want to be the first device many Nigerians interact with when they wake in the morning and the last device they interact with before they go to bed at night, which is why I call us ‘everyday affordable luxury for everybody.’” he said.
He revealed that to serve Nigerians well and contribute to the GDP of the country, they will be producing some of their products in the country in a few years.
“Let us see how the public would embrace us and how we could drive volumes too. If we produce locally, there will be direct and indirect employment, partnership with allied companies, and increment in the internally generated revenue in the country,” he added.
According to the Migo boss, their products range from laptops, smartphones, smart wristwatches, wireless headphones, feature phones, tablets, and kids’ tablets. He noted that the durability of their products is guaranteed, and they have showrooms that people can walk into to see their products for themselves.
“Currently, we have signed agreements with twenty repair centres across Lagos. As our products and services grow across Nigeria, we will expand these care centres to meet the needs of our customers.
“Our plan is that every three months, we would be releasing a new model. Hopefully, within the next twelve months, we will have a rich array of products or models on our line,” he said.
Evans, who is also the founder of Dendenlula Initiative, stated that Migo Mobile Nigeria is one of his ways of giving back to Nigeria. He further stated that, as they move forward and make a profit, they would bridge the digital gap in Nigeria.
