Bold Money Women empowers women to accelerate sustainable career and business growth in premier edition

In a world where financial independence is key to long-term success, Bold Money Women an Initiative by Growth Padi is championing a movement to empower women entrepreneurs with the tools, required to grow and scale their businesses. The Theme: Real Stories, Real Strategies—Scaling Careers & Businesses, underscores the importance of women learning from other women who have gone ahead of them to build and scale for local and global relevance.

It is crucial to note that most businesses managed by Nigerian women fail due to limited access to funds. A report found that the MSMEs sector is mostly dominated by trading (wholesale and retail), agriculture, artisans, and beauty and food services, with a high involvement of women.
Even with women dominating the wholesale and retail sector, poverty among women remains high. Aside inability to access funding, failure to prepare a business plan, lack of business training, financial knowledge, skills, and apprentice schemes have been found to limit women’s empowerment.

With a mission to close the financial literacy gap and foster economic resilience, Bold Money Women will provide business education, strategic mentorship, and access to funding opportunities tailored to help women navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship. Through workshops, networking events, and digital resources, the community seeks to equip female business owners with the skills to scale, sustain, and succeed in a competitive market such as Nigeria.

“Empowering women in business is not just about funding—it’s about equipping them with the financial intelligence and strategy to sustain long-term growth,” said Victory Mesona, Convener of Bold Money Women and Founder of Growth Padi. “We believe that when women succeed, economies flourish, and communities thrive.” She further added.

Headlining BMW Season 1 is DANG alongside other partners namely; WhirlSpot Media, The Nest, Shecluded, Brand Accent, and Mytherapist to successfully drive impact among women.

The initiative will host 40 women at The Nest Hub, Yaba Lagos on Friday, March 28th, 2025 for a business-defining session to bridge the gap between women and financial empowerment.
