Nigerian author and tech-entrepreneur, Mólly Ephraim, has announced her new book, TRAUMA: My Untold Secrets, which is already available on digital retail platforms, Selar and Rakuten Kobo.
The book, originally published on the platforms on March 4, 2024, uncovers her untold stories of abuse, domestic violence and suicide, offering a message of hope in every chapter.
The book reflects her personal journey and exposes the hidden struggles behind her public personality.
The book stands as a beacon of hope, encouraging readers to confront their challenges and seek recovery. It amplifiers Mólly’s message of making mental health a central topic of public discourse, fostering a collective commitment to support those suffering in silence.
Mólly highlights the importance of discussing mental health openly.
Her words “We don’t talk about mental health enough — about the stigma, societal shaming, the weight, and the profound impact mental health disorders have on how we respond to life and view the world, plus the profound damage it brings to our nervous system, people are going through a lot; people need practical solutions and we don’t have a lot of resources channelled to cater to mental health care and recovery — yet quick to judge suicide victims and stigmatise those who have lost their sanity to several forms of traumatic experiences including extreme poverty and hardship.”
She says proceeds from book sales along with any public donations would be channelled to funding free mental health evaluations, psychotherapy and medications where needed, as well as initiatives aimed at alleviating the poverty in Nigeria.
