The Lagos State branch of Abia Think Tank Association has urged Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, to prioritize accountability, transparency, tolerance, and inclusiveness among the people of the state for progress.

Its President General, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, noted this at its stakeholders meeting in Lagos, adding that the government needs to encourage citizenship participation in governance.

He said though the current government of Abia State is doing its best, it needs to improve in many areas.

“As it is the responsibility of the patriotic citizens to regularly appraise the government that they elected to lead them, especially in economic and social development in the state,” he said, noting that citizens have a responsibility to monitor the government, provide feedback, appraisal and recommendations.

He said the meeting was to appraise what the government has achieved in different sectors of the state, epecially in economy, security, physical and social infrastructures like schools and hospitals.
