43 Anam youths graduate from Onitsha Business School


Forty-three youths from Anam, Anambra West Local Council of Anambra State have graduated from the Industrial Skill Acquisition and Applications Centre (ISAAC), Onitsha Business School (OBS) in Onitsha, Anambra State.

President, Elite Youths of Anam Foundation (EYAF), Dr. Christopher Ejike Anekwe, explained that the programme was a historic shift in the quest to channel the youthful energies, skills and knowledge into entrepreneurial development to help transform the economic landscape of Anambra West and Anambra State at large.

Also, EYAF Secretary, John Paul Udoba, stated that the participants went through over six months practical training to bring out the entrepreneurial skills in their various disciplines so that they could start their own businesses.

He added that the graduands were equally rewarded with financial grants ranging from N250, 000, N300, 000 and N500, 000.  Udoba noted that EYAF also paid tribute to an illustrious son of Anam, Dr. Kenneth Nzegwu that sponsored the 43 Anam graduates to Onitsha Business School to learn different entrepreneurial skills that would empower them to start their own businesses.

He said: “We are eternally grateful to him for this gesture and the practical skills impacted on the graduands by the Director General of Onitsha Business School, Prof. Olusegun Sogbesan and his team through their Industrial Skills Acquisition and Application Centre (ISAAC).”

The secretary said as the world faces rapid technological changes and economic shifts, it is imperative to equip youths with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive environment.
