The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) has provided humanitarian relief to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and persons with disabilities residing in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), furthering its mission to support vulnerable populations across Nigeria.

The relief materials, which included essential food items such as rice, beans, and cassava flour, were distributed at the IDP Camp in Durumi and the Persons with Disability Settlement Camp in Karonmagiji. The exercise was led by NLTF’s Deputy Director of Operations, Bankole Kamorudeen.

Speaking during the distribution, Kamorudeen reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to improving the lives of the marginalised. “We are committed to providing assistance to those in need, particularly IDPs and persons with disabilities,” he stated.

Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude for the intervention, noting the positive impact the assistance has had on their living conditions. “We are grateful for the support,” one recipient said. “It has helped us to meet our basic needs.”

This latest intervention forms part of the NLTF’s broader humanitarian agenda aimed at alleviating hardship among Nigeria’s most vulnerable groups. The organisation continues to play a vital role in advancing social welfare and promoting national development through targeted support programmes.
