Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, has said that President Bola Tinubu is the “worst president ever” in the country’s history.

The veteran singer made this known during an interview with News Central TV on Wednesday while reacting to the controversy surrounding his new protest track, “Tell Your Papa”, which has been banned by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

According to Abdulkareem, Tinubu may be the best father to Seyi Tinubu, but he is the worst president Nigeria has ever had.
“The 1999 Nigerian Constitution guarantees freedom of expression in Section 39. This right includes the freedom to own opinions, to receive and impart information.

“The Universal Declaration of Human Rights also protects freedom of expression, encompassing the right to hold opinions without interference, and to seek, receive, and impart information and ideas.

“This right is further enshrined in various international human rights instruments, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). Article 19 of both the UDHR and the ICCPR acknowledges the importance of freedom of expression for democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.”

The “Jagajaga” crooner pointed to a recent video of Seyi Tinubu defending his father publicly and repeatedly calling him Nigeria’s greatest president.

Abdulkareem said such praise feels out of touch, especially considering the harsh economic realities citizens face daily.
“Seyi, I differ. Your dad is not the greatest president, as far as Nigeria is concerned right now. Seyi, you look more perfect in silence than when you speak. I would advise you to hand over the microphone to the MC next time.

“You lack the charisma and composure to express the true hardship under your father’s government. Tinubu may be the best father to you, but he is the worst president ever in Nigeria,” he said during the interview.

The 51-year-old music veteran stressed that his message is about the daily struggles Nigerians face, hunger, insecurity, and unemployment and not a personal vendetta.
