Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday arrested a social media content creator, Muhammed Kabir Sa’ad, for allegedly abusing the Nigerian currency and publicly challenging the commission to take action against him.

Sa’ad, known by his social media handle @youngcee0066, posted a video on TikTok and Instagram in which he was seen throwing Naira notes on the ground and “deliberately stepping on them.”

In the video, delivered in Hausa, Sa’ad dared EFCC officials to arrest him “if they can.”

According to EFCC, Sa’ad was tracked and arrested in the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna State following a surveillance operation.

He was taken to the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the commission for questioning and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations
