The Ayangburen of Ikorodu Land, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, has made a strong appeal to the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) to increase the number of polling units within Ikorodu.

Speaking during a stakeholders’ engagement in Ikorodu by LASIEC in preparation for the 2025 local council election, Shotobi highlighted the rapid development within Ikorodu, stressing the urgent need for additional polling units to accommodate the growing population.

He urged LASIEC to collaborate closely with Community Development Associations (CDAs) and Community Development Committees (CDCs) to accurately identify streets requiring more polling units.
