Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has reiterated his commitment to continue creating an environment for a “glorious, safe and prosperous future'” for children in the state.
Uzodimma stated this yesterday in his message, titled, “Imo’s future shall be glorious,” which he issued on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day.
The governor recalled that his administration had maintained the stance of laying foundation for their future in the more than five years he had been in the saddle.
Uzodimma urged them to remain ”positive and hopeful for a brighter future despite the harsh economic situation.”
He assured that both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the governors were working very hard to build proud future filled with progress, opportunity and lasting development to inherit prosperous and peaceful nation.
He continued: “My administration has invested heavily in education and health, two key areas that help children dream big and achieve their goals. I assure you, your future is bright.”
Uzodimma remarked that the current economic reforms were put in place by the Tinubu Administration to strengthen the systems and support Nigeria’s growth cascading in the building of roads, schools, hospitals and other vital infrastructure.
His drive for the welfare of the citizenry, he said, led to revitalizing the health and education sectors, to “help children grow, learn and thrive.”
The governor urged the children to cultivate the attitude of learning, staying in school, building useful skills for the future, appreciate the sacrifices their parents make by showing them love, respect, and being obedient to their spiritual, educational and moral guidance; and stay away from bad influences like cultism, theft, and other harmful behaviours that could ruin their future.”
