A Real estate firm in Nigeria, Knight Frank, has reiterated its commitment to societal impact with a significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to mark its Diamond Jubilee celebration.
The company is providing internship placements and bursaries to deserving students from the University of Lagos and Yaba College of Technology. The initiative underscores Knight Frank’s dedication to fostering excellence and innovation within the real estate sector by nurturing the next generation of professionals.
The beneficiaries from the University of Lagos include Ajikanle Omolara, Fawunmi Oyidamola, and Egunjobi Olabimpe, while the recipients from Yaba College of Technology are Ifeoluwa Elizabeth, Igwe Chinasa Gift and Oluwabamide Oluwasegun Joshua.
Senior Partner, Knight Frank Nigeria, Frank Okosun, during the presentation ceremony in Lagos, expressed his enthusiasm, saying: “It is truly an honour to be here today as part of our Diamond Jubilee celebration.
“Knight Frank Nigeria is not just to mark its legacy of six decades in real estate consultancy, but more importantly, to invest in the future of our industry, the students and all.”
Okosun said that beyond property and transactions, Knight Frank’s core focus has always been on “people—our people, our clients, and the communities we serve.”
He said that the selected students were chosen for their “brilliance in the classroom” and their “promise of leadership in the profession,” calling them “shining examples of what dedication, focus, and a clear sense of purpose can achieve.”
“As part of this recognition, we are offering bursaries to support your academic journey, and internship opportunities at Knight Frank Nigeria. We hope that this experience will give you practical insight into the profession, ignite your passion even further, and perhaps open doors you never imagined.”
“To the entire student body, I want to urge you that the future of the real estate industry in Nigeria, and indeed the country, rests on your shoulders. Stay curious, stay committed, and strive for excellence. The world needs professionals who have deep technical knowledge, value ethics, champion innovation, and are committed to service excellence,” he added.
Dean of the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Lagos, Prof. Modupe Idowu, commended Knight Frank’s enduring support, noting that since her tenure began in 1983, Knight Frank has consistently welcomed their students for internships, with feedback consistently praising the students’ development. She also humorously pointed out the prevalence of female leadership within the university, with all the beneficiaries being women this year.
