The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said its operatives arrested three alleged internet fraudsters in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The EFCC in a statement on Wednesday said the three suspects are currently being held at its holding facility in the Uyo Zonal Directorate.

“The all-male suspects were arrested on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, during an early morning sting operation at Mbierebe, Stadium Road, Akpasak Estate, and Oron Road, all in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State,” the statement read in part.

According to the anti-graft agency, items recovered from them include: four mobile phones, a desktop computer, a laptop and two cars.

The EFCC added that the three suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
