AICU holds youth conference in three varsities

A very unique series of conferences targeting Christian students across three Nigerian campuses is set to hold starting this month.

The first in the series is scheduled for the University of Ibadan on June 14, 2025, the second at Lagos State University(LASU) on June 20, while the University of Portharcourt takes its turn on June 28.

Coming under the auspices of American International Christian University(AICU), South Carolina, United States of America, the conference founded by Nigerian-born, US-based Pastor Akinsola Ojo Kings, is the first of its kind in Nigeria. The inaugural version took place in the USA last June.
Already, arrangements are in top-gear and plans have been concluded to make the much-awaited gatherings of the community of young Christians and professionals an impactful success.

According toOjo, AICU’S founder and President, the upcoming fora will enable students to discover, explore and reignite an effort to reach, win and build up other students in Christ across Nigeria and worldwide.

Essentially, the purpose of the conference is for the youths to among other things find an assurance of salvation and a renewal of commitment to Christ and their calling.
It is also aimed at edifying Gen Z on how to mature in their faith and encourage participants to move from passive to active engagement with the great commission- either through their churches or campus-based ministries.

Ojo indicated that there may be as many as 70 million nominal and active Christian students between the ages of 18 and 24 around the world whose potential transformational impact cannot be felt because they are not yet mobilised to be influenced.

This is why the Christian University has designed the conference as an annual event where university students can explore their purpose in life, search for truth and achieve true spirituality.

The emphasis is that the time has come for a global community of Christian students to take their place and positively influence the society.

A precursor to the planned conference is a regular Global campus Reignition Interview, which Ojo said is aimed at discovering talented youths who are Christ-driven and are already making steady impact in the vineyard of the Lord.

The meetings are expected to witness the presence of distinguished ministers of God from across the world, music ministers, academics, young professionals, church leaders, sportsmen and women and students in all Christian chapels at the venues and satellite campuses.

Ojo said sponsorship considerations are welcome from Christian universities, churches, corporate organisations and philanthropists in the country. This can be done by making contact with the event website https://aicuglobalcampusreignition.org/ or [email protected]
It is noteworthy that AICU is organising the conferences in conjunction with Joint Campus Christian Fellowships(JCCF)and the entire body of Christians in all the designated institutions.
