Borno State Governor, Baba Gana Zulum, has disclosed that one million children have been taken off the streets by his administration.

Speaking at a TownHall meeting organised by News Central Television, he said: “We have taken out from the streets nothing less than one million children; the statistics are there, the World Bank and the United Nations can give testimonies to what I said.”
 
Zulum made a surprise appearance at the Town Hall, sharing his drive and passion for the state.

He further outlined his administration’s achievements in education and security.

The event provided a platform for open discussion, fostering community engagement and highlighting key issues affecting the state.

The town hall meeting served as a vital forum for residents to share their concerns, ideas, and experiences, while also providing an opportunity for leaders to engage with the community and address pressing issues. 

Several leaders and stakeholders also shared their struggles since the beginning of the conflict in Borno State.
