1,000 persons benefit from Zimbabwean mogul free medical services

More than 1,000 people received free medical care at Arundel Hospital in Harare, Zimbabwe, as part of a health outreach initiative sponsored by businessman Dr. Kuda Tagwirei.

While the event featured diabetes screenings, general health checks, and consultations for chronic conditions, Dr. Tagwirei used the platform to encourage young Zimbabweans to participate more actively in public procurement processes.

“Anyone can supply the government,” he said during the outreach. “What’s needed is proper documentation and the willingness to take the first step.”

He cited the growing opportunities in supplying goods and services to public service organisations and pointed to youth already engaged in these sectors. His remarks echoed similar comments made earlier at a land tenure event in Bulawayo.

Speaking on the medical outreach, Dr. Tagwirei said access to healthcare should be seen as a fundamental right, not a privilege. “Free health services are a gift many can’t imagine. It’s something we must continue to make available,” he noted.

The event adds to a series of community-based programmes led by Dr. Tagwirei, whose philanthropic activities span healthcare, education, and civic empowerment across Zimbabwe.
