The launch marks part of Lebara Nigeria’s expansion strategy following its recent entry into the Nigerian telecommunications market.

For maximum impact, Lebara has partnered India’s Forever 7 Entertainment platform. The first set of Microdrama, which will be on the LebaraPlay App is named ‘Imported Bahu’, a three minutes short play, which features Nollyhood actress, Osas Ighodalo, alongside other Bollywood actors.

Speaking also on the initiative, CEO of Forever 7 Entertainment, Harmisha Daryani, said Microdrama, a three minutes short play is one new way of expressing entertainment affordably.
According to her, LebaraPlay was curated specifically to allow ideation to flow smoothly.
She said Microdrama is popular in Asia, America and ‘it’s demanded here in Africa. To be launched in July in Nigeria.
