Nigerian music sensation Temilade Openiyi, well known as Tems, is set to shine at AFROPUNK Brazil 2025, one of the year’s most significant cultural festivals, in Salvador, Bahia.
The announcement was made via striking new promotional artwork, confirming that the Grammys winner will take the stage on November 9, 2025, as part of the festival’s celebration of Black culture, identity, and resistance.
Tems joins an impressive lineup of artistes including international soul singer Jorja Smith, Brazilian legends Péricles, Liniker, and BaianaSystem, among others. The appearance marks another milestone in Tems’ international career, following shows in Portugal, the Netherlands, London’s Wembley Stadium, and the FIFA Club World Cup in the U.S.
Described as more than just a festival but a powerful celebration of Black culture, identity, and resistance, is set for November 8 and 9.
AFROPUNK has long been a hub for celebrating Black excellence through art, fashion, and music, and Tems’ performance is expected to be one of the festival’s standout moments. The festival will once again transform Salvador into a vibrant space where music, culture, and activism meet, and Tems’ inclusion signals her growing stature on the global stage.
