FUK praises PDP guber candidate for building hostel in varsity

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Kashere (FUK), in Gombe State, Professor Umaru Pate, has showered encomiums on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 governorship candidate in the state, Mohammed Barde, for constructing and furnishing a 40-bed capacity hostel at the university.

Pate made the commendation while addressing journalists about the upcoming convocation ceremony of the university’s graduates, slated for Saturday.

According to Pate, Danbarde’s gesture was unprecedented, noting that the politician personally initiated, completed, and furnished the new hostel to a high standard.

“This is the first of its kind at FUK. The quality of the project is commendable, and it reflects a deep commitment to educational development,” he said.

The vice chancellor also acknowledged the support of other stakeholders in the university’s growth.

He particularly acknowledged the support of an entrepreneur in the state, Dr. Bala Bello Tinka, for his scholarship assistance to students.

This was as he lauded the Gombe State government for allocating land to the university for expansion purposes.
