In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” This perfectly encapsulates the extraordinary journey of Dr. Victor Azubuike Osiatuma, a dedicated physician whose decade long service to humanity and the Nigerian health system continues to inspire.
For more than 10 years, Osiatuma led the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba; two years in acting capacity and eight years as substantive Chief Medical Director (CMD); coupled with over two decades of professional practice in medicine and hospital management. Indeed, his tenure was marked by a period of innovation, courage, creativity, impact, and excellence.
In celebration of this remarkable phase, Osiatuma, alongside his family, friends, professional colleagues, and the good people of Atuma-Iga, gathered to give thanks to God and launch his biography, “Dr. Victor Azubuike Osiatuma: A Physician’s Extraordinary Journey.”
