The Ekiti State Government has announced that the written examination for candidates applying for teaching and non-teaching positions in secondary schools will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

The Permanent Secretary of the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mr. Michael Boluwade, confirmed the development in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday.

He stated that the examination, which will hold at Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, represents the second phase of the recruitment process and is open to applicants who met the required cut-off marks in the recently concluded computer-based test (CBT).

“All candidates are to be at the examination venue by 8:00 a.m. for accreditation,” Boluwade said.

He explained that the pass mark for most subjects and non-teaching categories is set at 50 per cent, while Mathematics has a lower threshold of 40 per cent. Candidates who qualified based on the CBT will receive further instructions via email or the recruitment portal.

The permanent secretary also cautioned against misconduct, stating that impersonation or any form of examination malpractice would attract strict sanctions.

“All candidates must come with a coloured printout of their registration form and their CBT result,” he added. “Failure to meet this condition will result in disqualification from the written examination.”
