Makinde seeks support for security agencies, donates armoured personnel carriers to police 

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has emphasised the importance of supporting security operations to ensure the safety of life and property. Makinde spoke during the handing over of six newly refurbished Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) to the Oyo State Police Command.  He stressed that the donation was part of ongoing efforts to combat crimes and enhance security across the state.

The vehicles were officially presented during a special ceremony held at the Governor’s Office premises in Agodi, Ibadan. The governor, represented by his deputy, Bayo Lawal, while presenting the keys of the vehicles to the state’s Commissioner of Police, Johnson Adenola, described the donation as a demonstration of his government’s resolve to combat crimes and maintain peace in the state.

In their separate remarks, denola, and the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters, CP Sunday Odukoya (rtd), commended the governor for his proactive approach to security and consistent support for law enforcement agencies in the state.

They gave the assurance that the newly handed-over APCs would be deployed effectively in the ongoing efforts to combat s as well as ensure public safety across the state.
