From Clients to Communities: Blumi Agency’s track record of excellence, empowerment

Over the past decade, Blumi Agency has quietly cultivated one of Nigeria’s most respected creative portfolios in the digital content space. Founded in 2013 by Mr. Fortune Blu Jnr. in Salford, Manchester, the company’s transformation from a modest photography studio into a multi-vertical creative powerhouse is a study in consistent innovation and purposeful growth.

By 2021, Blumi secured its full operating license in Nigeria, ushering in a new era for the agency. Not long after, it became an official vendor for Stanbic IBTC Bank — a milestone that led to collaborations with high-profile brands like LG, Fidelity Bank, Dangote, iFitness, and numerous emerging SMEs across fashion, food, jewelry, logistics, and tech.

From big-budget brand campaigns to streamlined SME content packages, Blumi has built a reputation for delivering premium visuals, sharp storytelling, and quick turnarounds — a rare combination in Nigeria’s crowded media market.

In response to rising demand for mobile-first, budget-conscious content, Blumi launched *BluBox* in 2024 — a sub-brand dedicated to mobile cinematography. The goal was clear: to empower small businesses, creators, and startups with high-quality content creation tools that didn’t require expensive studios or bulky equipment.

This vision quickly extended into education. In late 2024, *BluBox Academy* was launched, and by April 2025, it hosted a landmark training event at The Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos, drawing over 500 attendees. The event featured renowned facilitators such as Director Taj, Bam Bam, Stan Nze, 9ce Photography, and Director Blue.

Since then, BluBox Academy has trained more than 1,200 students in mobile filmmaking, editing, drone operation, lighting, and digital storytelling. Through partnerships with Harvesters Church, Queen Nehita Foundation, and Fidelity Bank’s SME Hub, the Academy has reached young women, students, and underrepresented creatives — delivering high-impact training at just ₦20,000–₦30,000, a fraction of its true market value.

Now, all of this momentum leads to the highly anticipated Tech X Creators Expo taking place on August 23 at Landmark Event Centre, Lagos. With keynotes, content labs, AI tool demos, and hands-on mobile filming workshops, the Expo promises to showcase the ecosystem Blumi and BluBox have built — one where creativity, community, and opportunity converge.
