Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on Monday, flagged off the dualisation of Ila Township road and the second phase of Osogbo-Ikirun-Ila Odo-Kwara State boundary road, restating his commitment to serving the people of the state.
He also hinted that his administration had completed the reconstruction, rehabilitation, and renovation of over 175 kilometres of roads, while several dualisation and flyover projects are at various stages of completion.
Speaking at the ceremony in Ila, Adeleke, despite lingering uncertainties in the country, said he would not be distracted from his vow to serve humanity.
He said, “The Ilesa dualisation project is 78 per cent completed; the Ile-Ife flyover project is 75 per cent completed; the Oke-Fia flyover is over 95 per cent done, while the LAMECO flyover is about 55 per cent executed. I am equally glad to inform you that the 1.5 kilometres across all the local government areas of the state are almost completed in their entirety. The Oke Gada bridge is 100 per cent complete.
“For the records, we have completed the construction of about 2km lengths of Oba Jinsin/Ita Obajoko road, Ogunlade Junction – Kamila Junction road and Ajagunla Street. Also, 1.8Km length of the rehabilitation/construction of Aregun Junction – Ogunlolu road has also been completed in Ila.”
