Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and the leadership caucus of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term.
They vowed to work for the success of the re-election bid of the President, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
They made this known on Monday at the Osun PDP Leadership Caucus meeting held at the Government House, Osogbo.
A communique issued and signed by Governor Adeleke and 27 other leaders of the PDP in the state, on Tuesday, confirmed the governor’s move to APC but revealed that members of the APC in the state and those in the ruling PDP opposed it.
Other leaders who signed the communique issued at the end of the meeting include Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Prince Kola Adewusi, Senator Lere Oyewumi, Hon. Bamidele Salam, Hon. Moruf Adewale Adebayo, Hon. Lukman Mudashiru, Hon. Soji Adetunji, Hon. Lanre Oladeebo, Hon Clement Akanni, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, Hon Sunday Bisi, Senator Oluwole Alabi, Rt Hon Lasun Yusuf, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Hon Kazeem Akinleye, Hon Sarafadeen Awotunde, Hon Teslim Igbalaye, Hon Ibukun Fadipe, Rev Bunmi Jenyo, Hon Ganiyu Olaoluwa, Alhaji Muniru Raji, Barr. Niyi Owolade, Prince Bola Ajao, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, and Prof Wale Oladipo.
The caucus also endorsed Adeleke’s second term bid and resolved that he would contest his re-election in the PDP.
