The United Kingdom’s most iconic beauty brand, Body Shop, is set to make its groundbreaking debut in Nigeria’s business capital, Lagos, after a successful unveiling in Abuja.
Determined to heed the clarion calls of its numerous customers, the beauty company is proud to announce two new store openings in Lagos, the 5th largest economy in Africa.
The first Lagos unveiling will take place at Ikeja City Mall on October 1st, with stakeholders and dignitaries in the beauty industry expected to grace the occasion, while the iconic Circle Mall, Victoria Island, will play to affluent shoppers, influencers, celebrities, and the entertainment elite in November 2025.
The Body Shop store at Circle Mall will also serve as our distribution hub for all stores in Nigeria, reflecting our commitment to accessibility and premium service.
The event will be heralded by other side attractions like a special VIP reception billed at the British High Commissioner’s residence on the evening of September 30 to celebrate the arrival of this iconic British brand in Lagos.
General Manager of The Body Shop Nigeria, Shalom Lloyd MBE, told The Guardian that the choice of Lagos stemmed from its vibrancy and bustling market.
”Lagos is more than just a city — it’s a vibe. It’s where trends are born, where conversations spark movements, and where self-expression thrives. From bustling markets to chic malls, Lagosians are known for their love of bold beauty and their passion for self-care and community.
“Lagos has been calling, and we have answered. Following our successful entry into Abuja, expanding to Lagos — the cultural and economic heartbeat of Nigeria — is a natural next step. We are not just opening stores; we are joining a movement. We are here to inspire self-love, celebrate diversity, and stand for ethical beauty in a city that truly embodies our brand spirit,” she told The Guardian
